This is the most important term. A "Remux" is a lossless rip of a Blu-ray disc. Unlike an "Encode" (which compresses the video to save space), a Remux keeps the original video and audio bitstream identical to the physical disc. It offers the highest possible quality but results in massive file sizes (often 50GB+).
It is the closest thing to owning the physical master of the film.
Because Remux files are so large, they are often split into smaller "parts" using WinRAR or 7-Zip to make them easier to upload and download. You would need all parts (part01, part02, etc.) to extract the actual movie. Why Remux Matters
