The members of the clandestine group in the Warsaw Ghetto knew they might not survive, but they refused to let their truth die with them. Led by historian Emanuel Ringelblum , they gathered thousands of diaries, essays, and even jokes, burying them in milk cans and metal boxes so the world would one day know the Jewish perspective of the Holocaust.
