The 2013 animated film Turbo tells the story of Theo, an ordinary garden snail with an extraordinary dream of becoming a world-class racer, much to the chagrin of his cautious older brother, Chet. The Story of Turbo

: Theo and Chet are captured by Tito, a taco truck driver who enters Theo (now renamed "Turbo") into snail races. Tito eventually realizes Turbo's potential and, with the help of a group of streetwise racing snails, decides to enter him in the Indianapolis 500 .

Theo spends his days working in a tomato patch and his nights obsessing over his idol, five-time Indy 500 champion Guy Gagné. His life changes forever after a freak accident on a freeway, where he is sucked into the supercharger of a street-racing car and his DNA is fused with nitrous oxide. This grant him incredible speed and various car-like abilities, such as headlights and a radio.

: Despite the ridicule of professional racers and the initial disapproval of racing officials, Turbo qualifies for the race. He eventually faces off against Guy Gagné, who is revealed to be arrogant and willing to win at any cost.

: In the final laps, Turbo's shell is damaged, and he loses his super-speed. He must rely on his natural snail instincts and the encouragement of Chet to cross the finish line just ahead of Gagné, proving that no dream is too big and no dreamer is too small.
