"Le Prix à Payer" is a dark comedy that feels very "French" in its willingness to be provocative about money and sex. It isn't a "rom-com" in the traditional sense; there is very little warmth here. Instead, it’s a biting look at how materialism can rot a relationship. If you enjoy uncomfortable humor and social commentary, it's a solid watch, but don't expect a feel-good ending.

The chemistry between Christian Clavier and Nathalie Baye is excellent. Clavier brings his signature frantic energy, while Baye is brilliantly icy as a woman who views her marriage as a high-end job.
