Despite her cold exterior, Misuzu becomes visibly irritated by Tomo and Carol’s growing closeness. She eventually apologizes for her childish behavior and allows Tomo to hug her, a rare display of emotional vulnerability for the character. The Reason for Her Smile: New Dynamics and Double Standards

The central theme of this segment is Tomo’s desire to connect with her femininity through physical affection, or "skinship," after observing her female classmates hugging and "glomping" each other.

Tomo initially asks Misuzu for a hug, but is bluntly rejected as Misuzu claims Tomo's "pitch" was a turn-off.

Carol enthusiastically steps in, providing Tomo with the intimacy she lacks. These interactions allow Tomo to see herself as "soft" and feminine, though Carol's own delicate nature makes Tomo feel somewhat insecure.

The final segment highlights Tomo's inherent heroism and provides a glimpse into her family life.

Viewers meet Tomo’s mother, Akemi , and see the humorous dynamic of her father, Gorou , who is monstrously strong yet passes out from shyness when his wife touches him.

At Misuzu's suggestion, Tomo attempts to hug Jun, which leads to a physical confrontation. Jun pushes her off, claiming it is "inappropriate" for her to touch him like that, even though he frequently initiates "bro-hugs" with her. This double standard suggests Jun is beginning to see Tomo as a girl, though he is too embarrassed to admit it. Heroes Fall a Lot: Strength and Protection
