: The confrontation is interrupted by the arrival of the formidable Jiang Cheng , now the leader of the Yunmeng Jiang Sect. Jiang Cheng is immediately suspicious of "Mo Xuanyu" due to his use of demonic cultivation and commands Jin Ling to kill him.

Following the events at the Mo residence, Wei Wuxian (now in the body of Mo Xuanyu) flees on his stubborn donkey, "Little Apple," and arrives at . He soon finds himself entangled in a "night hunt" conducted by various cultivation sects.
