Founded in 2013 by former visual effects artists, the team is best known for pioneering the "survival horror simulator" genre with its Forest franchise. As of April 2026, the studio has transitioned from the post-launch support of Sons of the Forest to the active development of its newly announced sequel, Forest 3 .
