The story follows a writer named who travels to the Hotel Palace de Verbier in 2018 to recover from a bad breakup and mourn the death of his longtime publisher, Bernard de Fallois . Upon arrival, he notices a strange anomaly: the hotel has no Room 622, only 621, 621A, and 623.
Alongside , a fellow guest and aspiring novelist, Joël begins to investigate why the room was erased from the hotel’s numbering. They discover that a gruesome, unsolved murder took place in that room years earlier during a prestigious annual gala for a private Swiss bank.
