Chorão wrote "Céu Azul" shortly after their divorce. The lyrics serve as a vulnerable admission of his mistakes and a plea for forgiveness:

The song was written for , Chorão’s longtime wife and muse who had previously inspired hits like "Proibida pra Mim". By late 2011, their nearly 20-year relationship was in crisis due to Chorão’s personal struggles and drug abuse.
