The episode follows the fallout of Ichigo’s group being separated after falling into the Menos Forest. While Ichigo, Uryu, Chad, and Renji fend off hordes of Gillians, is rescued from an Adjuchas-class Hollow by a mysterious masked figure named Ashido Kanō .
