He leaned against his bike, looking up at the palm trees silhouetted against the deepening sky. Every corner told a story: the bridge where they used to hang out, the gym where he’d put in the work, and the front porch where his brother Sweet still waited. The air smelled of exhaust and asphalt, the scent of a city that never really slept, just waited for the next move.

The neighborhood was quiet, but it was the kind of quiet that held its breath. A low-rider sat idling near the bridge, its hydraulic hiss the only sound against the distant hum of the freeway. On the walls, the green graffiti tags of the Families stood as defiant markers against the encroaching purple of the Ballas.

CJ knew the peace wouldn't last. In Los Santos, loyalty was a currency that could be spent in a heartbeat. But as he looked at the "Grove St. 4 Life" mural one last time before heading inside, he felt the weight of the hood settle back onto his shoulders. He was home, and this time, he wasn't leaving until the street belonged to the green again.

The orange glow of the Los Santos sunset hit the cracked pavement of the cul-de-sac, casting long shadows that stretched toward the familiar Johnson house . For CJ, coming back to Grove Street wasn’t just about returning home; it was about reclaiming a legacy that had been fading into the smog of the city.
